Did you read Bill Husted’s little blurb about Highland this weekend?
“The current Men’s Journal ranks East Highland as one the The Best Neighborhoods in America. They even nickname it E-Hi, which is a new one for me. But they do capture Highland’s hip scene at Vita, Lola, Little Man Ice Cream and Root Down”. http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_12537486
Who are these people that have nicknamed highland E-Hi? There is a lot of opposition to the name LoHi which I actually am cool with but E-hi? Seriously? I am not okay with that one all.
For one we aren’t even “East Highland” we are Highland. Its not our fault that originally West Highlands was west of Highland and wanted to use our name. You dont hear anyone calling east of downtown over there on little rave E-do. Of course not because it sounds lame!
For those that aren’t aware the Highland Neighborhood runs from I-25 West to Federal and from Speer to 38th if you ask the RNO. If you ask the city the east boundary goes to Platte Street.
Ultimately I dont care. I know where I live and I know who I am! But I imagine the uproar is going to be great.
Peace out from E-hi,
Emily Chaney
